“ We went to Rodney Scott’s BBQ yesterday for Mother’s Day, and everything was honestly perfect. Super clean, chill vibe, and the staff was amazing. Shoutout to Garrett & Adam for being so kind and helpful the whole time! I got the full rack of ribs wit collards, fries, a side salad, and banana pudding, and yep, it was all on point! 10 outta 10. The banana pudding especially brought back memories of my uncle, he was the only one who could make it like that. It honestly made the whole meal extra special. It was me, my cousin, and our boys, and they even gave us roses for Mother’s Day, which was such a sweet touch! We sat outside, the weather was nice. I also had a special drink made (so good), and later realized my son left his phone there. I tracked it, called before they closed, and they had... it huge relief!! Overall, great food, great people, great energy. Definitely going back! ”

“ I love ribs and there were 6 big, meaty bones in a half order! They were some of the best I have had with 4 sauces that were fun to sample. My husband had the turkey which I thought was a waste of good barbecue, but my friend and I tasted it and agreed it was the best turkey we've ever tasted! Their potato salad and baked beans had a spicy zing that I loved! The service was excellent with a very helpful and friendly staff. We were even given a tour of the whole process. It even smells delicious! ”

“ Came to Birmingham to visit our son in college here. I heard about RSB on TikTok. I also searched on Google and it had great reviews. I do this often when I visit new places and at times get very disappointed. That was not the case today at RSB! The restaurant was clean although the ladies room needed a toilet paper restock. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. The cashier gave us his favorite menu items and the most popular items. Absolutely nothing was bad. Let's get to todd food... The ribs tender and the right amount of smoke. Brisket was moist and flavorful. Carolina pork reminded me of home, yep Carolina. Now that smoked turkey was hands down my favorite! It was moist and delicious. The reviews did not lie. Smoked turkey is not normally on my radar but I'm happy that I tried it. So, let's discuss the sides...collard greens were seasoned great a bit tough but really good for a restaurant (I make the best collards so I'm picky). Baked beans have a vinegar flavor with a slight sweetness. They were decent but could use a little more sweet. Potato Salad surprised be, this isn't usually something I'd eat from a restaurant. It had a good mustard taste, it was a little salty this could be fixed easy with an addition of sweet relish. Mac&cheese was the best I've EVER had at any restaurant. Baked, creamy, and seasoned just right. The cornbread was moist with a slight drizzle of honey. It was the perfect palette cleaner. My husband had the apple pie(I didn't try it) he said it was fresh and good but crust was not as flaky as he wished. The banana puddin was good. You could tell it was fresh because the chunks of banana were still firm and not brown. The puddin was in the sweeter side. My real complaint is that they used an instant pudding in the banana flavor. Switch that to vanilla and it would be dang near homemade. Overall this was the best BBQ we've had in some time. ”

“ Awesome food here and great service. The brisket sandwich was very tender and didn't need any sauce at all. The bun went really well with it. The BBQ sauce was all vinegar based from what I can tell, so it's a little different. It's almost like a salad dressing to me. Still worth the visit because it's one of the best brisket sandwiches I've ever had, and if you have never had vinegar BBQ sauce, it's not bad! Just a little different. There was a good portion of meat on the sandwich too. Devin was really great, she talked to our kids, walked us through some of the menu and checked on us often. Everybody was very nice and the crew seemed like they work really well together. 5/5 would recommend. ”
